What is GeoAccess?
GeoAcess is the ultimate accessibility analysis application: an open source (GPL) Java project, being developed under the scope of the GIS Applications in the Management course, being lectured by Ing. Peter Matis, at Faculty of Management Science and Informatics, University of ?ilina. It intends to create a stable platform that performs accessibility analysis:
Multi-platform: simoultanious development and support under Ubuntu 6.1, Mac OS X and Windows XP operating systems;
Modular development: divided by a stable Core responsible for analysis measurement as well as the possibility to integrate it with multiple Visualizers;
Stable Core: capable of measure accessibility baes on distance and time, independent from geographcal area;
Visualizer: closely developed to release the GeoAccess primarily as a standalone application;
Documentation: detailed documentation aiming final user helping and future development;
Open Source : use of open source resources - as Java and GeoTools - and released as open source as well.
